About Us

Welcome to the Isle of Wight Morris Minor Owners Club website.

The club was founded in December 1986 and is run by a small group of enthusiasts for the benefit of its members. Any club member can contact one of the committee for help or advice about their cars, or if they have any comments on the club itself.
Every month, each member receives a newsletter, entitled Minor Monthly. The publication contains a mix of news, views, advice and technical items, all of which relate to the Morris Minor or classic car scene.

The club meet every second Thursday of the month at the Woodmans Arms pub, Wooton. Often, especially during the summer, events and trips out in our cars are organised for these evenings. Past events have included visits to the Police station, bus museum and car manufacturing sites here on the Island. All future events and destinations are outlined in the "Events Diary" section of the monthly newsletter so be sure to take note of any changes in the calendar.
Do not feel that you have to come to every event, or that you have to come in a Minor, many members have cars off the road undergoing restoration or only use their Minors in good weather. It would be great to see you at any event we organise, be it in a Minor or not.
The biggest event the club host is the Annual Club Rally. Normally held over a weekend in early September of each year the Rally attracts around 80 to 100 Minors, many from the mainland. This event takes a considerable amount of time and money to stage, but has grown to become one of the friendliest and most popular events in the Morris Minor calendar.
The club have purchased an official workshop manual and a half tonne engine crane for use by members. The manual is free to use by any member who needs it, while the crane can be hired for £5 for a nine day hire period.
We hope that you will feel very welcome being a part of this club, and look forward to seeing you at one of our events or meetings.
